How SreyLin Found Hope Again

More Than a Survivor

“I had no hope, no job, and didn’t know how I could ever restart my life. I blamed myself for what had happened to me.”

Before reaching safety, SreyLin endured unimaginable abuse. She was trafficked, controlled, and manipulated until she believed she had no worth and no future. Like so many survivors, she carried the weight of shame and blame for the things others did to her.

But everything changed when she entered aftercare. With consistent support, counseling, and a safe space to heal, SreyLin slowly began to rediscover her voice. She learned practical skills, built new confidence, and most importantly, began to believe that she deserved a life of freedom.

Today, she’s not just surviving. She’s thriving. SreyLin now teaches and encourages other young women walking the same path she once did. Her journey is living proof that recovery is possible

“My life is so different now! Since coming to Bloom Asia’s Freedom Centre, I have found so much healing and peace. The people here have loved me like family and given me so much care and support. I’ve had the chance to learn new skills, earn qualifications, and now I’m working in the social enterprise, training other survivors in cookie decorating. Now, my heart is filled with hope for my future.”

With the opening of Bloom Asia's new Freedom Centre, even more girls like SreyLin will have a second chance to heal, grow, and reclaim their lives. As one of Unseen’s trusted partners, Bloom Asia is creating spaces where survivors can find safety, trauma-informed care, and long-term restoration.
